Our Story

We’re Noel Hsu and Abby Shakiba—two BCBAs who believe therapy should spark joy. With 15+ combined years in the field, we kept witnessing something magical: learning that felt like play, not work. Those lightbulb moments when a child masters a skill through laughter. The way parents’ faces light up when progress unfolds naturally.

These moments inspired us to build ANT—where clinical expertise meets genuine connection.

Our Mission

At ANT, we blend heart and science to create meaningful growth. Our approach is built on:
🐜 Play-based learning that feels like fun, not therapy
🐜 Family collaboration that honors your insights
🐜 Tailored programs designed for how your child learns best
🐜 Small caseloads so every child gets our full attention

We keep our practice intentionally small to ensure:
🐜 Your child works directly with experienced BCBAs
🐜 Every session adapts to their unique interests
🐜 Progress happens through joyful, meaningful engagement

Our Vision

We envision a world where therapy isn’t just effective—it’s delightful. Where children thrive because their learning journey is as unique as they are.

This is the kind of thoughtful, personalized care we’ve always believed in—now brought to life at ANT.

Our Team

Noel Hsu

Co-Founder, BCBA

Noel is a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with more than 10 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis. Her work focuses on empowering children with diverse abilities by fostering meaningful, individualized progress.

She understands that sustainable growth stems from a collaborative approach—where educators, families, and specialists work together to create supportive, adaptive learning environments.

Driven by this belief, Noel partners closely with each child's caregivers to develop strategies that align with their strengths and needs, nurturing both skill-building and confidence. She co-founded ANT Behavior Solutions with a colleague who shares her commitment to compassionate, research-backed ABA therapy.

When not working, Noel loves discovering new cultures, meeting people from all walks of life, and enjoying good food.

Abby Shakiba

Co-Founder, BCBA

Abby is a BCBA and early childhood special education teacher with over a decade in ABA and school-based interventions. She has served in multiple districts, earning a reputation for building strong, trusting relationships with families.

As a mother of two, Abby brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work. Her firsthand parenting experience fuels her mission to make ABA therapy accessible and family-centered.

This inspired her to co-found ANT Behavior Solutions, where she and her fellow BCBA prioritize culturally responsive care tailored to each family's unique dynamics.

In her downtime, Abby cherishes family adventures, whether exploring new destinations or sharing home-cooked meals packed with love (and maybe a little chaos).
